25" Rare Composition Art Deco Flapper Doll. valued at $500/800
Composition socket head with uptilted expression, side-glancing exotic eyes, mouth posed for smoking cigarette, mohair bobbed wig, all composition flapper style body with slender torso and elongated limbs, jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, feet posed for high heels, wearing factory original felt costume and shoes. Excellent condition, costume a tad faded, cigarette missing. The doll was marketed by the Cubeb Tobacco Co. to encourage smoking by women. Circa 1920.
